Annual report 2009
Stability, imagination, humanity and hope are basic values that guide Banka Koper in its operations and in the pursuit of its mission. Honouring these values is reflected through social responsibility and support for the environment in its cultural and other creative achievements.
The values that shape the bank are intertwined, in the same way that the business world (and banking as its component) is intertwined with art. We could draw a parallel with the spiritual values in the paintings by Franko Vecchiet, one of the lead artists in our border area and presented in the Annual report for 2009. His work, presented in the gallery of Banka Koper under the title "Resonance Among Three Walls" displays a synergy of the past and present on the one hand and art in the broadest sense and the role of human within it on the other. Abstract art, depicted using the collage technique and with the use of paper, is intertwined with the multicultural and environment of the artist. His work is characterised by a highly aesthetic culture, which teases the observers with a multi-layered meaning and message.

The local identity of Banka Koper has always played an important role in its operations. Given the unique and diverse opportunities offered by its geographical location, it undoubtedly contributed to the expansion of banking operations nation-wide and internationally. Identity and domestic cultural heritage came into focus particularly in 2008, when the Bank harmonised its visual identity with the international banking group Intesa Sanpaolo, thus further boosting its visibility in the international arena. The Sečovlje Saltpans Landscape Park presented in the 2008 Annual Report is one of the richest sources of natural and cultural heritage in Slovenia and the Primorje region, from where Banka Koper originates. Moreover, salt production was one of the main economic activities on the Slovenian coast for centuries. The fact that the Sečovlje Saltpans are also a picturesque landscape was, in a unique manner, pointed out by Jaka Jeraša, top photographer and connoisseur of the area.

Business events intertwine so closely that the boundaries between individual causes and effects are barely perceptible. Yet the framework for the operations of a business is clearly defined by the values the subject respects. These are the common values where Banka Koper and the artist from Primorska Zvest Apolonio, meet: "As it is impossible to overlook the artists respect for his region of origin the Mediterranean world, it is vital to mention the two basic elements pervading and enhancing his intensive artistic expression, namely, the landscape and the figurative art which frequently join and merge into one specific story." (Iztok Premrov)
Annual report 2006
The banking business - understood by some, but misunderstood by most. This is a unique industry, often perceived as ruthless and cold; however, it has many shades and diverse facets. Above all, it is a business like any other, created to deliver positive business and financial results to its shareholders. (Nives Marvin)
Annual report 2005
There is more to the business world than dry numbers. This is also evident from the close-knit connections Banka Koper has established with its environment - a relationship characterised by multi-ethnical and multicultural diversity. Such a multinational environment links the bank with the artist Klavdij Palčič whose works of art feature in the present annual report. Trieste - where Palčič was born, lived and developed his artistic expression, is a city which blends and reflects the images of the Mediterranean , the North, the East and the West. Trieste has played an important role in the richness of the artist's opus and also in the selection of his art genres.

The economic successes of Banka Koper and its concern for the community are intrinsically connected. Over the past three decades, Andraz Salamun has been recognized as a leader in the field of the Slovene art. He has produced an extensive collection of artworks and has had a pioneering role in art movements. His creations frequently feature in domestic as well as foreign art events. The creative power of this artist from Primorska never fails to astound us; his works have also been exhibited in the Gallery of the Banka Koper Main Hall.
Annual report 2003
In recent times Slovene business has been increasingly connected to the world. This is especially true about the Primorska region which has been affected by various economic, social and cultural currents. This years annual report has been adorned by the work of a great artist. The many natural, cultural and other riches of Primorska have since the olden days challenged the creativity of artists. Especially the landscapes of the Karst, Istria and Trieste are the recognizable "genius loci" of the work of Lojze Spacal (15 June 1907, Trieste - 6 May 2000, Ljubljana) whose name is a permanent feature in the world of art.
