Banka Koper makes a donation of EUR 10,000 for a new mammography x-ray machine
Banka Koper again continued its participation in the effort to collect donations for new medical equipment for the Izola General Hospital. The Municipalities of Piran and Koper, Luka Koper, Splošna plovba Piran, Istrabenz and Banka Koper collectively raised 60,000 euros for a digital x-ray machine for breast imaging. They presented the cheque to the hospital at a press conference held on Friday, 5 December. The mammography machine is a valuable tool in preventing breast cancer in a region where the rate of incidence of the disease is above the national average. Banka Koper went a step further and arranged for natural persons (individuals) to have the opportunity to make a donation to the account of the hospital free of charge.
